Terms of Service
Effective October 1, 2026 · Last updated October 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Crazy Poet Music Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of Sessions & Sounds at sessionsandsounds.com (the "Site").
By using the Site, sending an inquiry, submitting a listing, claiming a listing or adding content to a profile, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you accept on behalf of a studio or other business, you represent that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What Sessions & Sounds is
Sessions & Sounds is a free public directory of recording studios in the United States. Artists use it to find studios and contact them. Studios use it to be found and to receive inquiries.
The Site does not book sessions, take payments or act as an agent for anyone. Any arrangement between an artist and a studio is solely between them. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for its terms, performance or outcome.
We do not charge for listings, take a commission on work arranged through the Site, or sell placement in search results.
A verified mark on a listing means we confirmed that the person who claimed it controls the studio's email, website domain or other evidence we accepted. It is not an endorsement of the studio's quality, rates, facilities or conduct.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to claim a listing, submit a listing or add content to a profile. You must be at least 13 to send an inquiry.
The Site is operated from the United States and lists studios located in the United States.
4. Accounts and claiming a listing
Searching the Site and sending an inquiry do not require an account. Claiming a listing, submitting a listing or editing a profile requires signing in with a link sent to your email. We do not use passwords.
Your account is created in the sign-in system shared by Sessions & Sounds and Amplyr, a separate product operated by Crazy Poet Music Group LLC. Creating an account does not create an Amplyr subscription or obligate you to use Amplyr. See section 12.
When you claim a listing, you represent that you own, operate or are authorized to manage that studio. We verify claims by a code sent to the studio's email on file, by matching your email to the studio's website domain, or by manual review. When a claim is verified, we notify the studio email on file.
You agree to keep your email address current, keep access to it secure, and tell us promptly at help@sessionsandsounds.com if you believe someone else has claimed your listing or accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
We may refuse, suspend or revoke a claim at our discretion, including when ownership is disputed or a claim was made with false information.
5. Listings you did not create
Most listings were created by us from publicly available business information, including name, address, phone number, website and social media links, obtained from a third-party provider of Google Business listing data. We do not import photos, reviews or descriptions from those sources.
We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current or complete. Studios can correct their information by claiming their listing.
Any studio, owner or person named on a listing may ask us to remove it by writing to remove@sessionsandsounds.com. We do not require proof of identity for removal. A removed listing is added to a suppression list so it is not recreated from the same data.
6. Inquiries
An inquiry is a message an artist sends to a studio through the Site. The first inquiry from a new email address is held until the artist confirms that address. Later inquiries from a confirmed address are delivered without asking again.
We deliver an inquiry to the studio's inquiry email on file. If a studio has no inquiry email, we tell the artist, show the studio's public phone, website and social links, and forward the inquiry to our team, who may try to reach the studio through its public contact details.
We do not guarantee that a studio will receive, read or answer an inquiry, or that any studio will agree to work with you.
If you are an artist, you agree that the information in your inquiry is accurate and that you are contacting the studio about genuine work.
If you receive inquiries as a studio, you agree to use an artist's information only to respond to that inquiry and to any work that follows. You will not sell or share it, or add the artist to a mailing list, without the artist's separate consent.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any law or any third party's rights
- Post content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable
- Claim a listing you are not authorized to manage, or submit a listing for a business that does not exist or is not a recording studio
- Submit false, misleading or duplicate listings, including listings for competitors
- Use inquiries, listing submissions, reports or any other form to send spam, advertising, solicitations or content addressed to anyone other than its intended recipient
- Collect listing data, contact details or content from the Site by automated means without our written permission, except for search engine indexing
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, accounts or systems, or interfere with the Site's operation or security measures
- Misrepresent your identity, your affiliation with a studio or your role on any work
We may investigate violations and take action, including removing content, revoking claims, suspending accounts, blocking submissions and reporting conduct to law enforcement.
8. Owner content
"Owner Content" means anything you add to a profile, including text, rates, gear and room descriptions, photos, audio recordings, captions, alt text, track titles, artist names, credits and links.
Ownership. You keep all rights you have in your Owner Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
License to us. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, crop, compress, color-grade, transcode, display, publicly perform, stream and distribute your Owner Content on the Site and in previews of Site pages shown by search engines and when a page is shared. This license lasts while the content is on your profile, plus a reasonable period to remove it from backups and caches. We will not use your Owner Content in advertising for Sessions & Sounds or Amplyr without your separate permission.
Publication. Owner Content appears on your profile when you save it. We do not review it before publication and do not endorse it.
9. Your responsibility for owner content
You are solely responsible for your Owner Content. For everything you add, you represent and warrant that:
- You own it, or have every license, permission and consent needed to post it and to grant the license in section 8
- It does not infringe or violate anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights, or any law
- It is accurate and not misleading
Photos. You also represent that each photo shows your own facility, equipment or work. You took it, or the photographer licensed it to you for this use. Any identifiable person in it has consented to its use. Stock photography is not permitted.
Audio. For each recording, you also represent that:
- You worked on it in the role you state, such as recording, mixing, mastering or production
- You have permission from the owner of the sound recording, usually the artist or label, to post it and stream it on your profile
- You have any permission needed for the underlying musical composition
- The track title, artist and role you enter are accurate
- Posting it does not breach any agreement, including a confidentiality or release agreement
10. Reports, removal and credit disputes
Anyone can report content they believe is unlawful, infringing, inaccurate or in violation of these Terms, using the report link where one is shown or by writing to help@sessionsandsounds.com. We review reports and may remove content at our sole discretion, with or without notice to the owner.
If you are an artist, label or other rights holder and a studio lists work you believe it did not do, or credits it inaccurately, report the track or write to help@sessionsandsounds.com. We may remove the track while we look into it.
Copyright complaints follow the process in section 11.
We will try to notify an owner when we remove their content, unless the law prohibits it or the content was removed for abuse.
11. Copyright and DMCA policy
Crazy Poet Music Group LLC respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Designated copyright agent. Send notices to our designated agent, registered with the United States Copyright Office:

Elements of a valid notice. A notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the address of the page where it appears
- Contact information for the complaining party, including address, telephone number and email address
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
What we do on receipt. On receipt of a valid notice, we promptly remove the identified material from public view and notify the owner of the profile where it appeared. We disable access rather than delete the material, and preserve it while this process runs, so it can be restored if a counter-notice is submitted or the notice is withdrawn. Only the identified material is affected. The rest of the profile stays live.
Counter-notice. If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our designated agent. It must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and the page where it appeared before removal
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or its agent
We will forward a counter-notice to the complaining party, including the contact information it contains. Unless the complaining party notifies us that it has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the activity, we will restore the material in not less than ten (10) and not more than fourteen (14) business days after we forward the counter-notice.
False notices. Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Repeat infringers. We have adopted and will reasonably implement a policy of revoking the claims of, and ending Sessions & Sounds access for, owners who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances. We keep records of notices and counter-notices for this purpose. This is in addition to our rights under section 18. Ending Sessions & Sounds access does not end access to Amplyr, which is governed by Amplyr's own Terms of Service.
12. Relationship to Amplyr
Sessions & Sounds and Amplyr are both operated by Crazy Poet Music Group LLC. Amplyr is a paid software product for music businesses. Sessions & Sounds is free and does not require Amplyr.
An account created on the Site can also be used to sign in to Amplyr. Starting an Amplyr trial or subscription is optional, takes separate steps, and is governed by Amplyr's own Terms of Service. A studio's use of Amplyr does not affect its placement in search results on the Site.
13. Third-party services and links
The Site links to studio websites and social media profiles we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Site, including Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare and Resend. These providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Named providers are examples and may change.
14. Intellectual property
The Site's software, design, text we wrote, the Sessions & Sounds name and marks, and the selection and arrangement of listing data are owned by Crazy Poet Music Group LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our names, logos or marks without prior written consent.
Owner Content belongs to its owners, as described in section 8.
15. Disclaimers
THE SITE, LISTINGS, OWNER CONTENT AND INQUIRY DELIVERY ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRAZY POET MUSIC GROUP LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
We do not verify the qualifications, facilities, rates, credits or conduct of any studio, or the identity or intentions of any artist. You are responsible for deciding whether to work with anyone you find or meet through the Site.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CRAZY POET MUSIC GROUP LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, OR FROM ANY DEALINGS BETWEEN ARTISTS AND STUDIOS.
BECAUSE THE SITE IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent the law permits.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Crazy Poet Music Group LLC and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from:
- Your use of the Site
- Your Owner Content
- Any inquiry you send or any work you arrange through the Site
- Your violation of these Terms, any law or any third party's rights
18. Termination
You may stop using the Site at any time. An owner may release a claimed listing or delete their account by writing to help@sessionsandsounds.com. When a claim is released, we remove your Owner Content and the listing returns to its unclaimed state, showing only the business information described in section 5.
We may suspend or terminate your access, revoke a claim or remove content for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or other serious misconduct. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections 8 through 11 and 15 through 19.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court where available, or seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm, including misuse of intellectual property.
You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
20. Changes, general provisions and contact
Changes. We may update these Terms. We will change the Last Updated date and, for material changes, notify owners by email and ask them to accept the updated Terms before their next save. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept it.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Crazy Poet Music Group LLC about the Site.
Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remains in effect.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them freely.
Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
